Chief Operating Officer
Our client’s company is a US-based high-end luxury design business specializing in curated furniture, lighting, and interior design-related products. The company works with discerning clients and design professionals, offering carefully selected pieces and a refined customer experience.
We are looking for a highly capable
Chief Operating Officer / Head of Operations
to serve as the founder’s
#2 and right hand
in running the business.
This is a critical leadership role for someone who can manage teams, create structure, set and track KPIs, improve reporting systems, and help turn the founder’s ideas into clear, organized execution. The ideal candidate is highly intelligent, strategic, analytical, and people-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong trust with the founder and the team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage multiple teams across the business.
Build, improve, and implement organizational structure, workflows, and reporting systems.
Set, measure, and track KPIs, metrics, and team performance.
Ensure all teams are reporting progress clearly and consistently.
Translate the founder’s ideas, priorities, and business goals into organized action plans.
Provide regular operational updates, analytics, and performance reports to the founder.
Keep teams aligned, accountable, motivated, and supported.
Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Improve internal communication, accountability, and execution across departments.
Act as a trusted strategic partner to the founder in leading the company forward.
Ideal Candidate
Strong experience in operations, business management, or executive leadership.
Experience managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Highly organized, strategic, and analytical.
Comfortable working directly with a founder, CEO, or business owner.
Able to quickly understand ideas and turn them into structured execution.
Strong understanding of KPIs, performance tracking, reporting, and business metrics.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Able to motivate teams while maintaining accountability.
Proactive, decisive, trustworthy, and emotionally intelligent.
Comfortable in a fast-moving, founder-led company.
Preferred Background
Experience as a COO, Head of Operations, Operations Manager, General Manager, Chief of Staff, or similar leadership role.
Experience in luxury goods, interior design, furniture, retail, showroom operations, e-commerce, or a creative/service-based business is a plus.
Experience building systems, processes, dashboards, SOPs, and reporting structures.
