Role Description
This is a full-time, fully remote role for a Spanish Interpreter. The Spanish Interpreter will provide real-time interpretation between Spanish and English during phone and virtual calls, ensuring accurate, impartial, and confidential communication. Daily tasks include interpreting for medical, legal, and business contexts, clarifying meaning without adding or omitting information, and maintaining a high level of cultural competence. The interpreter will follow client and company protocols, document sessions as required, and collaborate with supervisors when complex or sensitive situations arise. The role also involves participating in periodic training, performance feedback sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications
Strong interpreting skills, including Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation, with the ability to convey tone, register, and intent accurately.
Proficiency in Medical Interpretation, with familiarity in medical terminology and sensitivity to patient confidentiality and ethics.
Experience in Translation and broader Language Services, including written and spoken Spanish–English communication.
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
Prior experience as a remote interpreter or in a call center environment is preferred.
Relevant certification in interpretation or medical interpretation is a strong plus.
Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet and private workspace, and comfort using online communication tools.
Strong listening skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain neutral and professional in sensitive situations.
Availability to work full-time, with flexibility to cover varying shifts based on client needs.
